Hi everyone! My name is Leela and I'm a newbie there. I've been a long time sufferer of OCD, but I have been trying to make the best of it -- with a positive outlook and of course, laughter (hence my Screenname: MorelikeCDO -- paying homage to my alphabetizing ritual). It's been really difficult to cope with life because rituals do take over and it's prevented a lot of wonderful opportunities. I actually have panic disorder as well -- which is something that stemmed from my OCD. I have ruminating thoughts and I'm constantly afraid of nothing but I can't stop my thoughts. I'm obsessed!

Anyway, I'm hoping that by being here, I can meet more people like myself. Hope to meet you all soon!

WELCOME to the "planet"

I also ruminate & am extra sensitive when someone says something rude or thoughtless or unkind.
I have trouble letting it go & it goes round & round in the "OCD Hamster Wheel" in my brain.
I am MUCH better now that I am older & like I have said in another Post........... My OCD is much less likely to take over for a long period of time.
I used to live in a world of OCD..now I just 'visit' from time to time.
I also have 'tools' in my OCD 'toolbelt' that I use when I need fixing.

OCD ain't the funnest thing to have...but everone has "stuff' that they need to overcome in their life..mine just happens to be OCD
